Ethiopia

• The CEWU, an Ethiopian affiliate of the ITUC, reported that Chinese companies refuse Union entry and ban union activity on site.

• Chinese companies have become a dominant force, building highways and bridges, power stations, mobile-phone networks, schools and pharmaceutical plants.
